THE BELFRY

Dunkirk France

A brick construction dating from the 13C.....it was increased to its present great height in 1440. It was used as the bell-tower for St-Eloi's church, built opposite, minus a tower. It plays a 48-bell peal on the hour and plays popular tunes on the quarters. The Tourist Information Office is at its street entrance
