A THE CHAPEL OF ALTOTTING & THE HOLY SEPULCHRE 578

San Candido Italy

Unique......consists of three chapels joined together. An innkeeper from San Candido,a devoted 17th century pilgrim, brought the drawings of the Sacred Sepulchre at Mt. Golgotha from Jerusalem for the construction of a chapel in San Candido, that was completed in 1653. Some time around 1633, he had previously built a chapel with a round floor and peaked roof and respective nave that is commonly referred to as the Chapel of Christ's Passion, according to the model provided by a church in Altötting.
