I seem to get drawn to what Phil has just said here. Indeed an expressive portrait that has drawn me to open the thumbnal Aloha. Her beautiful eyes and serene smile drives this image to be a keeper.
This is a very expressive portrait, Aloha --there are no devices or props or lighting tricks to compete with direct eye contact that is very moving. You express a good deal of character and personality here as well. By choosing to shoot her from above, she looks to us for support. She seems unsure, and a bit cautious. I don't know if that is the story you are trying to tell here or not, but that it what it says to me. It is very simple, devoid of artifice and dramatic lighting techniques that are so often part of a posing session in a studio. She seems quite real here, less of a fantasy model, and more of a real person -- a complex yet fragile figure of great beauty.
