Once a hillside refuge for those displaced during the Korean War in the 1950s, Gamcheon Culture Village
has been transformed from a bleak settlement into a vibrant "living museum."
Today, the village is a maze of narrow alleys, colorful houses, and community-led art installations.
"The Fish Swimming Through the Village" by Jin Young-sub uses hundreds of small wooden pieces to represent the community’s unified spirit.
