You abstract the canyon beautifully here, Alina. You must have been up very early to be able to get the sunlight grazing the top of the rock formation before you. I would guess this was probably made about a half hour after dawn. You must have used spot or partial metering to make the background so dark, barely implying the rocks below and behind it.
