At long last a Sunday comes along when Deb is not on duty, the kids haven't any sport commitments or parties to go to, I'm not working (well I did put an hour in this morning at 7.30) and the weather forcast is not all doom and gloom! So for a change we head off inland to Derbyshire to a place called Matlock Bath.
Now this is a quiet little village set along the bank of a river that runs through a limestone gorge, so get the picture, windy roads and steep rocky hills either side, a few ice-cream parlours and more tea rooms than you can shake a stick at. On Sundays this place becomes a mecca for bikers of all shapes and sizes from Piaggio scooters to Harleys and Goldwings and many R1's, Ninjas and 998's there too. There's also a cable car that very swiftly transports the non faint hearted to the top of the hill side some five hundred feet from ground level - remind Deb to take a blindfold with her next time!
This is just one shot from a couple of hundred shots taken during the day, most of which were just snapshots of us all muckin about doing what you do on a day out. There's a few I've put in my Bikes, Boats and Buick gallery which can be seen by CLICKING HERE
