There's plenty here in Somerset. I sometimes see as many as six together in the spring. get yourself a good going compost heap and place a 600mm square piece of corrugated iron nearby. Lift up gently when it is sunny and you might be surprised.

I don't think I have seen a slow worm in neary 50 years. There used to be a lot in our garden when I was a boy. Thanks for the reminder.
