Doha is the capital of the State of Qatar, a tiny nation off the Arabic Gulf with plenty of oil reserves enough to last them another few hundred years. Being a Muslim nation, I was rather surprised to find pornography channels on the cable television there - but it could well be a signal received from another country.

With the Asian Games (1-15 Dec) round the corner, the entire city of Doha is under construction fighting against time to get things in place. The scene is similar to what we saw in KL during the 1998 Commonwealth Games preparation. One big difference is that temperatures there is at 45 degrees celcius and a big part of the country is a desert, so just imagine the heat and dust all around. No wonder all the cars there are mostly white in colour....
