2007's edition of the KL Open is set to be the biggest of the series with combined prize money of US$43K. It also sees men's top 10 players participate for the first time ever - Nick Matthew (ENG) and Karim Darwish (EGY). Malaysian duo of Ong Beng Hee and Azlan Iskandar will find it hard to repeat an all-Malaysian final with such a strong field.
Most of the top 10 women are also here, with local darling and world number one Nicol David heading the cast. Seeded second is Australia's Natalie Grinham who is drawn to play elder sister Rachael in the semi-finals. David meanwhile has Vanessa Atkinson in her half. The Dutch number one had beaten David in the KL Open final last year.
