Viaduc de Garabit, Cantal, Auvergne, France
The viaduct spans the Gorge of the Truyère and the railway is at a height of 95 metres (310 ft) above the normal level of the water below.
The bridge was built in 1882-84 by Gustave Eifel, who used the experienced gained with this design to build the Eifel Tower.
