This area of the Rhine River Valley is a United Nations World Heritage site; about 40 castles and other sorts of structures on a 65 km stretch of river. Most of these were first built in the 12th or 13th century; all of them were destroyed by the French in 1689.
I'm looking into taking a Rhine River trip. Did you take these shots as a part of a river trip? What part of the river is best for castle sighting? Thanks. Allen
