The Great Migration takes place every year, with up to 2.5 million Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelle migrating between the Serengeti and Masai Mara, looking for greener pastures. Predators follow the migration closely waiting for chance to strike at the weaker prey.
It has been described as the greatest wildlife show on Earth. The migration starts arriving from July and departs the Masai Mara in September/October. Many animals die during the river crossings, either breaking legs in the crush and falls, or being taken by the ever present crocodiles.
