These are massive animals that can grow up to 3 metres in length. They prefer to stay submerged in shallow water during the day, only coming out to graze at night. These are the animal that cause most human deaths in Africa, catching people between themselves and water of a night. The graze the grounds of the camp, coming as close as the tent flaps when grazing.
