Sacramento Kings: Vlade Divac tribute/ jersey retirement, March 31, 2009

Vlade Divac, an affable 7-foot-tall Serbian basketball player, one of the first European players to make the NBA, helped power the Sacrmaneto Kings team to back-to-back Pacific Division titles in 2001-02 and 2002-03, and made six consecutive NBA playoff appearances from 1998-99 to 2003-04. A UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and active philanthropist, he is currently a government adviser in Serbia for humanitarian issues and President of the Serbian Olympic Committee. On March 31, 2009, many old teammates joined Valde as his No. 21 was officially retired at Arco Arena. The Kings lost that night to the Hornets 111-110.
