To close out 2012, Donna and I spent a lovely weekend in San Francisco, Dec. 29 to Jan. 1. We stayed near Union Square, enjoyed the harbor from the Embarcadero, saw a top-notch performance of "The Lion King" at the Orpheum Theatre - they threatened to tar and feather you if you even thought about taking a photo inside the theater :-) - and shared midnight fireworks over the Bay with 200,000 of our closest friends on New Year's Eve. Oh, and I got my Grateful Dead fill by seeing Furthur at the Bill Graham Civic Center on the 30th (and shot a few pix with a small point-and-shoot camera), while Donna enjoyed herself in our room, ordering room service and relaxing.
