Brought together by North Valley Productons, alt-folk rocker Michelle Shocked shared the stage with singer-songwriter Willy Porter at the historic El Rey Theatre in Chico, California, on Sept. 17, 2008. Willy, who opened the show, put on a crowd-pleasing performance that eclipsed an anticipated but somewhat uneven set by Michelle. Still, the combination of the two made for a good evening of music.
