Michael Martin Murphey and his Rio Grande Band performed a set of cowboy tunes at the Gold Country Casino Showroom in Oroville, CA, on August 3, 2013. In addition to his signature tune ,"Wildfire," Murphey and company also performed "Carolina in the Pines, "Geronimo's Cadillac," and covered a bunch of old tunes, including Marty Robbins' "El Paso" and "Bg Iron." Pat Flynn a renowned session player and a member of the Newgrass Revival in the early '80s with Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, and John Cowan, was Murphey's lead guitarist and on-stage right-hand man.
