Jorma Kaukonen, the guitar maestro of Hot Tuna and the old Jefferson Airplane visited Chico with mandolinist Barry Mitterhoff on October 21, 2012. The show at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Big Room in Chico, Calif., spotlighted about 20 acoustically rendered songs from across the Jorma catalogue. Finesse and elegance was the theme here, with graceful and skilled fingerpicking, jamming, and storytelling carrying the night.
