Two days before he won the election for governor of California, Jerry Brown, California's Attorney General, former governor, and former mayor of Oakland, drew a large crowd on Oct. 31, 2010 at Broadway Heights restaurant in Chico, Calif. With speakers wired to reach those who couldn't get close enough to see, Brown spoke to the hundreds of supporters inside as well as those wrapped around the outside of the way-too-small venue, about sustainability, opportunity, and innovation, while refraining from political attacks on his opponent.
