Wild Mountain Faire, Lake Concow Campground, Concow, CA, June 27, 2009

Although Concow is 25 miles from my hometown of Magalia by way of paved roads, it's only 11 miles as the crow flies. So you guessed it, I traveled on Saturday, June 27, to the Wild Mountain Faire, at Lake Concow Campground the hard way, over rough, unpaved mountain roads that wander down from Magalia into the Feather River Canyon, across the river, up over Sawmill Peak and down the other side to Concow. The ride was an adventure but the old-timey bohemian-style festival setting was better. Though I departed before Alli Battaglia and Spark 'n' Cinder played (I went home longer but easier way), I had plenty o' fun and caught five fine local bands.
