The Chico World Music Festival, which takes place annually on the campus of California State University, Chico, is perhaps this town's most diverse musical event. On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19-20, 2009, the music, arts, artistans, and food vendors were spread out over four stages - two indoors and two outdoors on the campus' lush lawns. The festival actually began with a Friday night show at Laxson Auditorium featuring trumpeting jazz superstar Wynton Marsalis.
