The Chico World Music Festival, which takes place annually on the campus of California State University, Chico, is perhaps this town's most diverse musical event. On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 18-19, 2009, the music, arts, artistans, and food vendors were spread out over four stages - two indoors and two outdoors on the campus' lush lawns. Here's a selection of images, as shot for CSUC's University Public Events (opening sequence of images are from setup on the 17th). The festival actually began with a Friday night show at Laxson Auditorium featuring L.A. rock/hip-hop/salsa/reggae band Ozomatli.
