Chico, a progressive town in far northern California, rejoiced the inauguration of Barack Obama with the "Chico, Yes We Can! Inaugural Ball" at the Chico Masonic Lodge on January 20, 2009. The evening included a buffet of healthy offerings from an eclectic mix of local restaurants, performances by the Origin Tribal Bellydance troupe, and female acoustic duo MaMuse, followed by a replay of President Obama's inaugural speech and dancing to a mix by DJ Senor Felipe.
