About Chico Breaks the Record: "For the entire month of April, I-Play-in-Chico, Get Foxy Productions, and The Tacklebox are teaming up for one of the most ambitious local music events in Chico history!

The current Guinness World Record for 'Longest Multi-Artist Concert' is 15 days, 12 hours.

Well, we're going to double that!

The idea behind this attempt is to bring national (international?) attention to Chico for its thriving and talented local music scene.

From April 1st until May 1st, for a total of 720 hours, The Tacklebox is going to play host to live music, 24/7.

With less than 25 seconds allowed between songs, and 5 minutes allowed between sets, this event is intended to be a genuine marathon of local talent, as well as a few select performances from out-of-town acts.

All acts must be 'concert proficient' and 'rehearsed', all music must be created live on stage (no pre-recorded audio), and must contain 'recognizable melodies'. Not necessarily cover songs, but songs that can easily be recognized as a 'song', by our unbiased 'Witnesses'"
