Ana Carloto

Too much beer...

Well.. it was the first game of the Portuguese Team
in the World Cup.. They won :))))
I had a bit of trouble sleeping though, (I can't
really drink much) but I am
"famous" for my insomnia problems...

The truth is that I took this photo some days ago, in
the end of May, but I don't like it. This is why I've
never uploaded it, until now. I was waiting for a situation
where it would have some meaning.

Yes! my ribs show too much and I am too skiny and all that
so you guys were all mistaken, I don't look so good as you think.
I just got too smart when taking photos of me I guess, looool.
Sorry if you all feel deceived... I won't give the money back though ;)

You were right. I really look dead in this one. Yuck!

You look tired, Ana. But beautiful the same. You express yourself so well. I like the language of the hands in this picture.

An another nice shot, Ana. The control of the light is just perfect, not to much, just enough to give a hot atmosphere!
Best regards
Guy

LOL at your text.
This is an excellent image, with an excellent treatment. The hand on the head and the closed eyes are puting emphasis on the excess of alcohol - even if played ;-)

Great composition this shows your strength as photographer and model.

An emotionally moving self portrait, Ana. It is a figure study based more on the hands than on the body -- how they oppose each other, what they hide, and most important, what they signify. The tensions created by the hands pulling in opposite directions, and the top edge pressing down on the figure embody insomnia. The ribs, as Jenene notes, underscore vulnerability. This photograph is major departure from a typical cliche of a sleeping figure -- it is abstract, rife in incongruity, and provokes thoughts of human values in the imaginations of those who view it.

But there is a bit of pain in this shot, I see.. Roberto

I think it's a sensual shot. The low-key and the pose of your hands adds much more beauty.

Of all your self portraits, Ana, this one says 'vulnerable' to me.

Oh man, this interplay between you and Niall is too much Ana! :)

A really excellent image. The composition, subject matter and tonal control are all top-notch. Vote.

Seeing this picture after a win, I only can hope your team will never lose again. But then, that would mean my team has to lose, and I cannot really say I'd like that outcome ...

As so many times before you succeed in conveying atmosphere and emotion in a very effective way. Your acting is brilliant and the photography doesn't stand behind.

I wouldn't let summer go without a curled bit lip.Even though she had fallen early onto the windowsill.Waiting for the wispy chill of autumn to tumble her over the edge into a lost dream. My spider eyes would lick a web around her into the corner.A moth wriggling among the threads of my fingers. Sewing her into the blanket of my warmth. That she would be stolen as mine among comforting greys. And I would drink lovingly of her sighs.Until we both melted into the season of silence.

That will be your swimmer's physique! It's a long time since I saw my ribcage. :S

My empathy on the insomnia. Two of a kind, unfortunately. Seriously, this is a great photo. I do like how your low-light SPs can convey very different impressions; at once sombre and sensual. Your body seems stretched out, even to your finger tips (love the light on the ring, BTW) but you are wrapped up in yourself in a way that screams: 'world cup hangover'. At least it's for the right reasons!

WOW ! move over , nothing wrong with this .

I don't know why you wouldn't like it - it's full of intensity. You don't look dead to me.
