Down the steps in Alfama...

Late afternoon in Alfama, one of Lisbon's traditional areas.
I was walking down the steps in the late afternoon and saw the remnants
of a beautiful sunset in the distance... Another great day that ends.

E agora... Queres vir cantar o fado?

Very fine, Ana. That bit of pink-orange horizon is like a reward for traveling through the photograph from foreground to background. V

Restless firefly eyes yet alight.Between swallowed blue shadows of slumbering day and rising distant wink from Luna peek.Nomadic thoughts trickling through wandering alleys, dressed with amber buttons. As touchstone bells grinning along the velvet path from now to wherever.

Beautiful.. reminds me of some of Adal's sunsets.. I love the moon barely at the top.. the buildlings in silhouette.

OK, so when you go walking do you take a tripod around with you?...because if not...and if I ever need a steady hand for heart surgery, I need your phone number ;-) PS wonderful balance of exposure....but then you know that! K
