Yes, I plead guilty.To wishing swiftest speed of my days.All of them.Every single one.Awake and without you.A crime of cruelest kind.My sanity on most precarious edge.If it were not for the saviour Eve.That draws her grey slumber robe gently round my troubled sphere.As I steal a favoured glimpse of you this night,as every other.I must forever.Holding you in my fading day from that bedside picture frame,surrounded complete with gilded halo,shining proud as I, to have the blessing of my life being touched by you.In the deepest hour the illusion plays.It cannot be any worse trick than the sin of lonely day.So my mind unravels it's guard.And I wrap myself resigned with futility around it.Cuddling tighter.Ever so tighter to the pillow.So soft and warm.That I could smother myself into your imagined likeness.I listen with perfect stillness for your sigh.That secret acknowlegement of comfort and content.But it does not come.The dream is slipping.Sliding away fast into empty tears.And then my breath draws you in.It is the last rose of September,surrendering perfume meandering slyly in through parted curtain.Puffed as a sail on moonlight blue.Like thick honey it spills through me.Turning me inside out, crazy and drunk with desire.And I lose myself fully,hopelessly into your love. (Euphoria nocturn! V!)
