Self-control

Look closely: About five inches in front of Kona's nose there are two bits
of kibble. He's staring intently at them. Kona loves kibble, but I told him
to stay and he won't move until I say it's okay. He lay there for perhaps
30 seconds, maybe a minute. I'm sure it felt like an eternity to him.
But he managed to hold himself in check.

Actually not. He got the reward in the end. And it's important that he learn to obey commands, including those that prevent him for doing something he wants to do.

Isn't that cruel?
