So we added another high tech gadget to the household this holiday season -- a Roomba robot
vacuum cleaner. Kona, as you might imagine, was a bit spooked initially at the sight of a saucer-
shaped thing rumbling around the house all by itself. After a few weeks, however, he's gotten
used to it, more or less, and when it's doing its thing on the lower level, he just lies on the
landing and watches it, making sure it's not about to climb the stairs and come after him.
