Adam's Peak is the most sacred mountain in Sri Lanka and during the pilgrimage season hundreds of people walk up it every night to watch the sunrise at dawn (and visit the temples on top). I started at 2am and arrived at the top just before sunrise at 6am - it was an amazing experience!
