Rafael also brought us to the town of Palmela about 30 miles south of Lisbon that had a large castle. While in the castle we saw a room that had wonderful Portuguese tiles and went in. Inside was the lady artist who made them and she offered to paint Tamure on a few tiles for the modest fee of 80 euros. The tiles are beautiful and now adorn the wall of our galley area in Tamure.
