Our last stop before we left for the longest leg was Post Office Bay, where the old time whalers would, on their out bound leg, leave letters in the famous barrel and the home bound whalers would pick them up and deliver them when they returned home. As was the custom, we left a piece of teak with “Bebinka” carved on it as evidence of our visit.
