For Brigid, whose last words to me before I left for a May trip to Canberra were "Don't forget to take your Thermos!"

Technically this photo's not really a memorial to Brigid (who's still around) but rather to the Thermos which, I discovered on this trip, had sprung a leak and therefore isn't. (Remember boys and girls, this is why we ALWAYS keep plastic bags in our cars!)

Actually the coffee was still hot, but perhaps not hot enough; the shot I had envisioned had steam rising from the mug, but I'm guessing that it was too cold for even the steam to come out and play. And you'd also be able to see some of the coffee in the cup, but it's not easy to frame this shot while getting your arm far enough out in front of the lens.
