On my second trip to Minnamurra, I decided to try to re-shoot the image from 0671 Rock Shower.
When I shot the original, I'd just come down from an abortive attempt to climb to the Minnamurra Falls with WAY too much camera gear, and dang near died in the process. Exhausted and lacking better judgement (not to mention half of my circulation and respiratory systems), I shot 0671 by simply resting the camera on the rail rather than getting out the tripod. The blur in the image was the result.
Unfortunately this time around the light was bad, a huge tree branch had fallen into the pond ruining the shot's composure, and the colourful autumn leaves weren't in the pond above making the colour palette a bit bland.
Lesson learned... make every shot count, because you don't always get a second go at it.
Nonetheless, I still got out the 70-200 (with tripod this time) to try to prove my theory that THAT ROCK LOOKS LIKE IT HAS A FACE! Specifically, the water is pouring onto the left side of it, with the eyes tightly scrunched behind a rather pushed in nose.
