Once Pyrmont's wharves berthed huge cargo ships, blowing the bejebbers out of our trade balance. Now they berth not so huge pleasure craft which... probably also blow the bejebbers out of our trade balance, but at least they only do it on a one-off basis.

Edit September 2023: Hmm, actually... I'm not sure whether I wasn't thinking clearly or just indulging in hyperbole there but these wharves were primarily intended for us to EXPORT goods, especially agricultural goods. I'm sure that we imported things here as well, but probably not to the extent that we import things (pretty much everything manufactured) now.
