Rhodes is a suburb which sits on a peninsula on the eastern side of Homebush Bay. Once the home of paint manufacturers and dioxin factories, it's the "poster child" for rehabilitation of the area with very European style living developments. (Medium rise apartment blocks and a spotless and immaculately groomed shopping centre, which is shown here. Well, "immaculately groomed" aside from the plastic bag that somehow ended up in one of the trees to the left.) Hey, it even has a huge Ikea store, and you can't get much more European than that.
