Edit September 2023: Sydney's population was just under 4 million when I took this in 2007, and reached that number the following year. It reached 5 million in 2022, and is about 5.1 million as I write this.
We have a fairly drastic housing shortage. Gee, I wonder how that could have happened.
The original version of this image that I posted on PBase was slightly more elongated with more of the footpath beyond the end of the boardwalk. Back in the day I was inclined to not care over much about photo ratios and would just crop in any damn way I liked. These days I'm a little more respecting of standardised size ratios, and decided that a square was the best option to get as close to the original as possible, while preserving as many of the original elements as I could.
This has been moved from the defunct former Show & Tell Personal Edition gallery. It was an example of competition 50-Streetlife.
