Updated September 2023: The original comment read "This is a view looking south down The Princes Highway, a.k.a. National Highway 1, a.k.a. a glorified goat track which is mostly two lanes, undivided, with a 100km/h speed limit."

That was indeed true at the time, but to be fair various governments have put a lot of work into the highway south in the 18 years since this shot was taken and the drive is much more pleasant - and safer - than it was in the mid 2000s.
