Unlike Sixt in the previous image, the lights are on at Monty's breakfast restaurant (in the Pan Pacific hotel), and apparently someone is home. Well, the cutlery is laid out on the tables anyway, and according to its website Monty's opens at 06:30 (almost half an hour before I shot this), so... I guess it's open.
It may be that the hotel's guests just want to sleep in on a Saturday morning. Or they don't want to sit near the windows. Or perhaps there've been scared off by the restaurant's rather meagre 3.7 score in Google reviews. (Although the hotel itself only has a rating of 4.1 on Google and 4.0 on Trip Advisor despite being a supposedly five-star hotel.)
Whatever the reason, it's given me another Edward Hopper "outside looking in" photo opportunity. On this occasion, though, I could have done with at least a single person sitting there having coffee or something.
