The ball that was kicked by Dybala (#21, bottom left) has arrived in the goal square, and A.S. Roma defender and acting captain Chris Smalling leaps up to head the ball into the goal. The very distinct grimace on his face suggests that he might need a couple of Panadols after the event.

Whether this will work depends on a combination of skill and luck. Skill he has, but in the next image we'll see whether luck was on his side as well.

It may well be academic though. If this were a competition match, I expect that Smalling would have been called off side at this point. Although he is surrounded by defenders, none of them seem to be ahead of him (aside from the goalkeeper) although it's impossible to be certain from that angle. Tommaso Pobega (#32) might, possibly be on the same line, but it doesn't look that way from here.
