This is the first time I've shot at Shep's Mound, and this is the first shot that I took there. It's the current air traffic control tower (officially, Sydney Control Tower Number 5), which can be incredibly photogenic in the right light. Unfortunately, I was a little bit late getting here courtesy of whatever the roads department is called this week and its habit of springing right-hand turn lanes on you with pretty much no notice. As a result, I arrived 10 to 15 minutes late and lost the best light of sunrise.
Between the stays on the left-hand side of the image you can see an aircraft flying past. You will have no chance of being able to identify it in the reduced size image posted in this gallery, but in the full-sized image I can see that it is a Qantas aircraft, and that it has 4 engines. That means that it must be an A380.
