Something has gone terribly wrong with the sky! It has lost its grey! And there is no water falling from it! There's this straaaaange red glow on the horizon; what could that possibly be??

It's not so funny that some parts of NSW are flooding for the 4th time in 18 months, but at least we're no longer hearing about these being "Once in 100 year events". (Unless inflation has eroded the value of a century down to a few months.)

This is the first genuinely bright, dry, sunny day we've had in over a week, but that doesn't mean that we can suddenly get back to going out to see places and do things. I looked at a couple of day trips in the last few days, and the number of times I saw "closed due to flooding" or "closed due to road damage" does not bear thinking about.

Oh, and there's a 90% chance of moderate to heavy rain on Sunday. Fuank you weather gods, fuank you very much.
