210226_063406_0020 Lone Tree, Morning (Fri 26 Feb 21)

Sandon Point Beach, Illawarra, NSW view map

More precisely, "Lone tree alongside the bike track at Sandon Point Beach just before sunrise with a solitary beach walker in the background" but hey, that would make the title a little too long.

I was running a little early for my usual breakfast at the coffee shop, so I swung by the beach looking for a target of opportunity. To be honest I was hoping for a tad more colour in the sky, but as we're heading into autumn sunrise is getting later. It will continue to do so until Easter at which point daylight saving will end and everything will be set back an hour.

I suppose I could have hung around a bit longer, but coffee and raisin toast wait for no man.

So beautiful. The tree towering over the person is wonderful. Love the light. I couldn’t wait for the breakfast either. V

A fine composition. The single tree really has a strong presence in the scene, really dominates. Raisin toast & coffee sounds delicious! V

What a pretty spot. I like how the grass goes down to the sandy beach. The lone person in the distance really makes that large tree seem even larger.

This image spells solitude which is very appropriate for the times we're in.
