Sometimes I take photos of street signs as a record of their location if I don't have GPS accessible, or if I've forgotten to turn it on.

Gee it would be nice if Olympus would actually get around to incorporating GPS within the camera bodies.

At other times I just take them as a representation of place and time.

In this case it's more the latter than the former. This photo has GPS encoded in it, but the typical London street sign was too tempting a target to pass up.
