The first thing that you need to do when you arrive in London is become adept at navigating the many and varied underground train lines. Take the light blue Victoria line north to Green Park, change at Green Park for the dark blue Piccadilly line running east to west or alternatively the grey Jubilee line running approximately north to south except for the bit where it swings to the east south of the river.

You get used to it eventually.
