I do recommend that you view the previous image and read the commentary to get the context for this. You should also absolutely be viewing this at the Original size.
In the previous image I discussed our destination of Jungfraujoch, which we were to head to on the following day. Except that while that image gave a general overview, it didn't really give a particularly detailed view of it. Time to let the 40-150 do its thing.
On the left you can still see the 4,107 metre Mönch (monk) mountain. On the right you can see Jungfraujoch, the saddle between the Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.
Now, the 40-150 got a pretty decent amount of detail in Jungfraujoch, but you won't see it when I resize this to 1200 pixels for publication. On the other hand I don't want to crop in because then I lose context and the connection with the previous image.
You see that rocky outcrop above the snow about 3/4 of the way to the right? You see the shiny bit on top of that? It's not a rock, it's the Sphinx observatory. Not the whole thing; just that little shiny bit right at the very top. That's the building. That is where we would be the following day.
Now that, my friends, is "scale".
