Winter in the Illawarra is not all dark clouds and wind and rain. Actually this year there has been very little of that.
But it IS red sunrises, and a bitingly cold wind, dripping with ice, as is like to take your fingers off. Oh, and exploding waves against the rocks, which is what I was originally shooting.
As I was doing so, however, these two commenced a run to the far end of the beach and I thought that this was a more useful shot.
I hope that they got nice and warm from their run, for at the end of it they dived into the water.
I, on the other hand, got back in the car, powered it up, put the heater setting on "Chernobyl" and the fan setting to "Wind Tunnel", and shoved my frozen hands in front of the outlet vents until they were warm enough to work the steering wheel to drive me to the coffee shop for breakfast.
