Thirroul railway station is the local hub of the Northern Illawarra. Unless you live in Wollongong itself, at some point you will be getting on or off the train at this station to change from express trains to all stations trains.

On this particular afternoon the express from Sydney had just pulled out and a northbound train had arrived. However also arriving was a rather large thunderstorm which is starting to make its presence felt in the upper right corner of this image.
