I really need to start posting these images much closer to the time that I take them. At the time of posting it is late December, so this was actually two seasons ago when we were in the depths of winter.

However, being a cold weather critter I generally don't consider Winter to be the "depths". It's the blasting sun, relentless humidity and high 30s temperatures that cause me considerably more grief. Looking back on this time I feel somewhat envious of its coolness even if it does involve barren trees with only a single dead leaf hanging on.
