Saw the World War I Centenary exhibition at Melbourne Museum? Check. Went on a gourmet food walking tour? Check. Went to see the theatrical production of The Lion King? Check. Went to see the Shrine Of Remembrance? Check. Went to see three shows at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival? Check. Went to the National Sport Museum at the Melbourne Cricket Ground? Check. Ate a lot of really nice food with a bias to Italian cuisine? Check. Failed to photograph enough of these things as memories? Ummm, check.

And that's it, it's over. After a final wander around the city in the morning it was time to put the feet up in the hotel's lobby lounge and consume a couple of cocktails in front of the gas fire ahead of getting the bags and catching a taxi to the airport. (Cocktails?? Moi?? They were fruit, not alcohol.)

The only downside? It was a week too short.
